Warbling of the nightingale

Hello there,
Olesya Kharkova is here to show you my card process on challenge 12 board. This time I have chosen the following elements: Cork-Jute/Natural Twine-Bird/Bees/Butterflies. This board is super inspiring and interesting to work with.

I took a kraft card base measuring 10x15 cm. Adhered double-sided tape all around the perimeter of the card base to place the layered frame.

The front panel was made with several layers of thin kraft paper, old book pages and was sewed with a sewing machine. For the Cork element I found some cork patterned paper in my stash and cut out a circle using my scissors. The wreath was made with jute and some sisal.

Adhered the cork circle with a double-sided tape only in the middle so that I could put some other elements under it.

I fastened the wreath using my stapler.

Prepared vintage looking cut out and sponged their edges with Antique Linen distress ink because some of them had snow white borders.

Put the cut outs under the cork circle using Zig 2 way glue pen and two layers of foam tape for the window. Stamped the sentiment " Have a splendid day!" with Archival Coffee ink. This ink fit here much better than the black one.

Placed the front panel on top of the card base and popped it up with foam tape. Made some white dots-splatters with my white gel pen.

Here is the finished card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope this project was inspiring! Have an amazing day!

Simple Layered Card

Hello there,
Olesya's here with an inspirational post for #10 challenge board. This time I've chosen the following elements: resist technique - ombre - grid.

Resist technique and ombre I used with a bulb stamp. I stamped it with Jet Black Archival ink and while the image was still wet I heat embossed it with clear super fine detail powder from Ranger. Then sponged the bulb with the following distress inks to get the ombre effect: Wild Honey - Scattered Straw - Squeezed Lemonade. The embossed borders of the image resisted the inks as you can see.

I used Simple Stories Life in Color paper for my layers, by the way, the phrase is of the same paper collection. It was on one of the sheets, so fun imitation of hand printer/ label maker. And the chipboard sticker frame's from Crate Paper.

Drew some accents with a white gel pen: some dots on the bulb and fake stitching lines on the kraft paper layer. The final touch was to add gold and clear sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope this card was inspirational enough :) Have an amazing day!
Olesya Kharkova.

Berry Bouquet

Hello everyone!
Olesya's here with an inspirational post for SSD Tic-Tac-Toe challenge #8. The challenge board is so cool, you can create an adorable project in so many ways and variants. This time I've chosen the following combo: color inspiration - color - square card.

For the background images I took Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set and heat embossed it with Ranger Super Fine Clear embossing powder. Colored the flowers and berries with Artiste watercolor markers.

For the round berries I used a pen's cap and Chipped Sapphire distress ink. Stamped them and colored with the same distress ink, Adhered them on top of the embossed images and covered with Glossy accents. These berries remind me blueberries :) I wanted the images to pop up a little bit more and outlined them with a grey watercolor marker, added some grey and blue splashes here and there.

As embellishments I also used silver glitter tape and silver sequins. The palette turned out very fresh and cold. I printed the sentiment and placed it on top of my front panel.
Hope you got my portion of inspiration and ready to create something fabulous for our current challenge. Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an amazing day!
Olesya Kharkova.
