Challenge Sixteen

Hello and welcome back to the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge blog! Today is the start of a brand new challenge. For this challenge, we included a photo inspiration as one of the element in the challenge board. If you choose the row without the photo inspiration, you may use the photo as part of your design as long as you include the other three elements just like DT Member Rachel did in her card (see below). Please use the challenge board below using three elements in a row of your choice. You can create in any way you like as long as we can see the elements in your design.

You are playing for one of the following 3"x 4" stamp sets. The winner will get to choose the stamp set of their choice. If you already have all three in your stash, why not play to give one of these sets as a gift for one of your crafty friend? You can click on the links below to read more about each stamp set.

And now for some amazing inspiration from our design team members.

Nora was inspired by the middle column down: Hexagon, Misting, and Birthday.

Amina worked with the third row across: Clothespin, Birthday, and Patterned Paper..

Rachel was inspired by the middle column: Hexagons, Misting, and Birthday. And she also used the photo inspiration for her flower!

Varada was inspired by the last row across: clothespin, birthday, and patterned paper.

Channin used the first row down: Banners, Use Tiny Stamps, and Clothespin.

Judy worked with bottom row across: Clothespin, Birthday, and Patterned Paper.

Challenge #15 Inspiration with Rachel

Hello, everyone! Rachel here today with some inspiration for Challenge #15 for you!

For my card, I chose the middle column - partial die-cutting, sparkle, and staple.

I started by stamping my flower image onto a white panel and then using a circle die to partially cut up to the tips of the flowers. I used my craft knife to carefully complete the window by cutting around the flowers. After I was sure everything was cut properly, I used my Copics to color my image. (Good thing I waited! I actually ruined the first panel I tried to cut!) Next, I heat embossed my sentiment in silver on some vellum and cut it out with stitched fishtail banner die. I stapled my sentiment to my card front to adhere it.

I added my acetate behind my window and then used lots of foam tape so my sequins would have enough room to shake. I carefully adhered my panel to a white card base and then added a sprinkling of sequins to the front of the card for some extra sparkle and to add a little more adhesive to the end of my sentiment. (It looked like it was going to fly away without them!)

Here's a close up of the sentiment since it's a little hard to read in the original photo. I hope you enjoyed my card and it inspires you to play along with us!

Challenge #13 Inspiration with Rachel

Hello! Rachel here from RBergfeld Card Designs with some fun inspiration for Challenge 13!

For this card, I chose the middle row - Shimmer, Border Stamp, and Balloon.

I'm trying to create more one layer cards for easier mailing, so that's what I started with for this piece. I cut and folded my card base and then began by stamping all of my balloon images. I used two different ink colors - Fog Gray and Pale Blush Pink from Simon Says Stamp. I love how light and ethereal they look! I knew I wanted the cluster of balloons to be greater near the top, so I started by stamping just a few at the bottom and slowly working my way toward the top by increasing the number I was stamping. I added the strings in after all my balloons were stamped.

The confetti image is actually a small border stamp that I repeatedly stamped side by side to cover the top. I stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with some Rose Gold embossing powder. It's super shiny and pretty in person!

I finished the card by stamping my sentiment in a bold black ink so it would stand out beautifully.

I hope you like my card and it inspires you to create your own masterpiece for our challenge!
