Floral Thanks So Much

Hi crafty friends!! Shannon here with you today! I hope you're all having a lovely week so far.

I'm here to share a card with you inspired by the current Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. For this card I used the 3rd line down, being, acetate, jumbo letters and a shaped frame.

Here is the card I created. As you can tell the acetate makes the sentiment a little hard to see but I promise in person it just makes it look soft. :)

For my floral background I used the Pretty Little Peonies set from Wplus9 in multiple colors of ink. I stamped my sentiment on top using the Written in Watercolor stamp set from My Favorite Things with Versmark ink and heat embossed with some light blue embossing powder I had on hand. My scallop frame is from Pretty Pink Posh, I adhered my piece of vellum under my frame and adhered it all on the top of my card.

That's it for my card today. I hope you enjoyed and that you'll play along with us in our current challenge!

Thanks for stopping by !

Challenge One

Happy New Year to all of you! We hope 2016 brings each of you happiness, lots and lots of laughter, good health, big and small successes, and a good healthy dose of creative mojo (hopefully inspired by our challenges). :)  We are so excited to be here with you all because today marks the start of our very first Stamping Smiles Designs Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! We are super excited and can't wait to jump right in!

For this challenge, Ka was inspired by the decorations from her 2014 New Year's Eve party! Her house was filled with lots of gold, sparkles, fun banners and beautiful, sparkly jumbo letters. She even had a huge fancy gold frame for her guests to take pictures in. She thought it would be fun to incorporate some of the elements from her party to the challenge board. :) So, for this challenge, we would love for you to take some inspiration from the challenge board above using three elements in a row of your choice! Whatever rows you choose and are inspired by is what we challenge you to create!

You are playing for one of the following 3"x 4" stamps sets. The winner will get to choose the stamp set she wants. And, if you already have all three, why not play to give as a gift for one of your crafty friend? You can click on the links below to read more about each stamp set.

Design Team Member Introduction : Shannon McComb

Hello and welcome back to another Design Team Member Introduction Day! We are so excited to introduce our fourth designer to you today. Please join us as we welcome, Shannon McComb to our team.

"My name is Shannon McComb. I live in Ottawa, Canada with my husband. I've been paper crafting since I was a teenager, around 10 years now. I started off scrap-booking with just paper and scissors and then I discovered card-making by stumbling across technique videos on YouTube. I love all critter stamps and besides fun scene cards I would best describe my favorite style as clean and simple."

Welcome to the team, Shannon! We are so happy to have you with us! And here is Shannon's pretty DT entry card.

We love the causal and playful look from Shannon's Falls card. The out-of-line watercoloring technique looks so much fun and we are so glad she used this playful technique because we love the beautiful results from it.

Make sure you stop by again tomorrow as we have another design team member to introduce to you! Have a wonderful day!
