Challenge Six

Hello! Happy Hump Day to you! We hope everyone is enjoying their week so far! Anyway, a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who played in our last challenge - the cards were exceptional! We will be going through the entries in the next couple days and will announce the winners on Friday.

Before we get to today's challenge, we would first like to invite you to come join us for a super fun "Creative Fools" blog hop on April 1st! That's right! Stamping Smiles Designs Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge will have its very first blog hop, all organized by our very own designer, Nora Noll! The hop will start right here on the challenge blog at 9 a.m. CST. There will be lots of "punny" inspirations along with prizes to be won! Yep, so make sure to tell all your friends about this hop! The more, the merrier! And don't forget to mark it on your calendar so that you don't miss out on the hop along with some amazing inspirations and awesome prizes! :)

Okay, back to today's challenge. Who is ready for Spring to arrive? I know we are! Here in the Mid-west, we are seeing lots of signs of Spring already. Spring will finally be here very, very soon! Yay! We included in the challenge board showers, umbrellas, and clouds because they are just a few staples for this time of year. :) For this challenge, we'd love for you to take some inspiration from the challenge board below using three elements in a row of your choice. Whatever rows you chose and are inspired by is what we challenge you to create!

You are playing for one of the following 3"x 4" stamp sets. The winner will get to choose the stamp set of their choice. If you already have all three in your stash, why not play to give one of these sets as a gift for one of your crafty friend? You can click on the links below to read more about each stamp set.

Challenge #5 Inspiration with Stephanie

Hey everyone, Stephanie here! So glad you could join me today! I'm back to share some crafty inspiration for our current challenge! Here is the board we are working with:

As you can see, there is LOTS to be inspired by and so many fun elements that work perfectly with the month of March!

This is the photo inspiration element. Isn't it so pretty? I just love it!

I decided to use it as one of my elements! For this card I chose the far left column:
Geometric Shapes, Layers, and Photo Inspiration!

For my geometric element, I used the MFT Tiny Triangles stencil and the super fun Heidi Swapp metallic gold texture paste over a blend of distress inks. I cut out my scallop circle die with the largest circle from the Craftin Desert Divas Stitched In Circle Dies and adhered it to my card base as my first layer!

Next I adhered the awesome four leaf clovers, which were inspired by the photo inspiration, directly to the circle panel and popped up the lucky cat on top! These adorable stamps and "smile" sentiment are from Lawn Fawn's "My Lucky Charm" set. All of the images are colored using my awesome Spectrum Noir alcohol markers! As a finishing detail I added glossy accents to his gold medallion and small gold star sequins on the card base!

I hope you enjoyed my card and that you found it inspiring! Thank you so much for visiting today!

For a quick jump to the current challenge, you can click here! I hope you'll join in and I look forward to seeing your creative projects! :)

Who is ready for St. Patrick's Day and are excited for Spring to arrive? We know we are as you can tell from the inspiration photo below! Yep, you heard that right! For this challenge, we included an inspiration photo in the challenge board as one of the element. Whichever rows inspires you from this photo inspiration and our fifth Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Board is what we challenge you to create! Just a reminder, if you choose the row without the photo inspiration, you may certainly use the photo as part of your design as long as you include the other three elements. Also, please make sure you are including the challenge graphic badge in your blog post and not the blog badge if you're playing for the prize. Thanks!

You are playing for one of the following 3"x 4" stamp sets. The winner will get to choose the stamp set of their choice. If you already have all three in your stash, why not play to give one of these sets as a gift for one of your crafty friend? You can click on the links below to read more about each stamp set.

Love You!

Hi there! Stephanie here and I'm back with some inspiration for challenge 3! I have to say, I am having a great time with these tic-tac-toe boards - it's so much fun connecting the elements and creating something from it!

Here is our current board - Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Three:

This is the "sketch" element. Each gray color represents a new layer! Love it!!

I went with two connecting trios this time! These are the elements I chose:
Love, Add shimmer, Hearts
and
Add shimmer, Paperclip, and flowers.

Here is the card I created...

For my love element I chose a Mama Elephant sentiment that simply says "love you". It fit perfectly inside my balloon stamp, too!

My heart element is from the stamp set. I decided to use this adorable stamp set called "Puppy Love". I thought the girl holding the heart shaped balloon was just so sweet!
I added crystal clear Sparkle Pen to the balloon, her side bow, and beret for the add shimmer element.

I also drew in stripes on the card base with a bronze-gold metallic pitt pen so that it would tie in with the paperclip I wanted to use. It also ties in with the gold embossing powder I used on the sentiment.

Lastly, for my flowers element I chose these adorable flower buttons I had recently bought. I drew in some stems using my Memento black marker.
I had so much fun creating my card!! The tic-tac-toe board has so many possibilities - I love it!!

I hope you like my card and that you found new inspiration from the board! Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Thursday to everyone!!

Challenge Three

Welcome back for the third Stamping Smiles Designs Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Your creations for challenge 2 were amazing and so very inspiring! Our absolute favorite part of this challenge is reading which row of the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge inspired you! We hope you continue to play along and use our challenge board as inspiration for your next project!

For this challenge, we included a sketch as one of the element in the challenge board. Ka used a layout from one of her older card and created a sketch based on that card. If you choose the row without the sketch, you may use the sketch as part of your design as long as you include the other three elements. The theme for this third challenge is love. Since Valentine's Day is around the corner, Ka added words and elements that associate with that day. We'd love for you to take some inspiration from the challenge board below using three elements in a row of your choice!

Challenge Two

Hello! Welcome back to another Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! We are so excited to be here with you all! What a great turnout for our first challenge! Thanks to everyone who participated! Your entries are all so BEAUTIFUL! You guys did an amazing job interpreting the three elements that you guys had chosen. We will go through them within the next couple days and will announce the winners on Monday, the 18th.

We also want to make a note about the challenge badge. Please use the Challenge Graphic Badge and not our Blog Badge in your blog post when participating in our challenge. We noticed many of you were posting the Blog Badge instead. If you are playing for the prize and using the Blog Badge, you will be disqualify. The Challenge Graphic Badge is the tic-tac-toe board that you are using as the inspiration like the one below. If you love and are a fan of our challenge, you may upload our Blog Badge onto the sidebar of your blog with a link back to our challenge blog (we hope you do like our challenge!). We're very sorry for any confusion and hopefully we had clarify this.

Now, onto the challenge. Ka took inspiration from the beautiful winter scenes in Door County in Wisconsin, where she and her husband often go for a weekend get-away. Door County is like the Cape Cod, except it's in the mid-west! It is a popular vacation and tourist destination, especially for us Wisconsinite!

For this challenge, we would love for you to take some inspiration from the challenge board above using three elements in a row of your choice! Whatever rows you chose and are inspired by is what we challenge you to create!

You are playing for one of the following 3"x 4" stamp sets. The winner will get to choose the stamp set of their choice. If you already have all three in your stash, why not play to give one of the set as a gift for one of your crafty friend? You can click on the links below to read more about each stamp set.
