Design Team Member Introduction

Hello there and Happy New Year's Eve!! How are you celebrating the New Year? However you celebrate New Year's, we hope you stay safe and warm!

Today we are back to introduce our last two members and some guest designers. This post will be a bit different from the others. We thought you guys might want to know a little bit more about Ka, the creator of this challenge blog and Mady, the design team coordinator. Below you'll find more information about them in their own words!

"Hello! My name is Ka and I am the creator of this brand new challenge! I am so excited that you are here! Thank you so much for all of your support you've shown so far for my new challenge! I really appreciate you coming back each day! Here's a little background about me. I have been paper crafting for a long time. I started scrapbooking in 2007 and a couple months later, I was introduced to card making through a co-worker. It was immediate love! Whimsical, cutesy images are my favorite! I also enjoy organizing my crafting supplies. There is just something about having an organized, clean crafting studio. When I am not creating or organizing, I am spending time with my husband, playing games at Dave & Buster with friends, having family game nights, playing tennis, and watching my favorite TV comedy shows!"

"Hi. My name is Mady and I am the Design Team Coordinator. I am so happy to be here helping Ka with her challenge. Here's a little information about me. I am a mother of four beautiful children and married to my husband for 10 years. I have been crafting in some way, shape or form, for as long as I can remember. I sew, crochet, scrapbook and make cards. I also enjoy decorating my house. Aside from all the creative stuff, I enjoy going to the movies with my family, camping out and shopping!"

Design Team Member Introduction : Tracie Pond

Hello and welcome back! Today we are so excited to introduce our sixth designer. Please join us as we welcome, Tracie Pond to our team.

"Hello friends! My name is Tracie Pond and I am happy to be designing for the new Stamping Smiles Designs Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. I live in Chelsea, MI with my amazing husband and two labradoodles. I have lived in Michigan my entire life and will soon be relocating to the West side of the state. I have been cardmaking on and off for the past 8 years, but this Spring was able to begin focusing more on my creations and sharing. My style for the most part is clean and simple. I love colors and creating my own backgrounds. I love cardmaking because it helps me relax. I truly enjoy spreading kindness one handmade card at a time. When I am not in my craft room you can find me in my flower gardens, out on a walk or in my kitchen."

We love the beautiful layered dahlias and the fun hand drawn frame from Tracie's card. The design is both bold and elegant, which we absolutely love!

Design Team Member Introduction : Nora Noll

Hi everyone! Welcome back! Today we are so excited to introduce our fifth design team member. Please join us as we welcome, Nora Noll to our team.

"Hello! My name is Nora Noll and I am excited to be a part of the Tic Tac Toe Challenge Design team. I have been a crafter since I can remember-starting with hand-sewing and have taken classes in everything from pottery to decorative painting. I started paper crafting in my teens, and have been doing some sort of paper craft for almost thirty years.

I would not say I have a particular style, though I am not a one-layer wonder. I tend to have many layers on my cards and own die cuts for almost all of my stamps. Layering helps me cover up my mistakes when I make them so that I do not have to throw away a whole card! Paper crafting is a stress release for me. I create for no other purpose then to have fun and relax. I know that being part of this design team is going to be a lot of fun and I cannot to wait to get to know everyone."

We adore Nora's entry card so much! We love the perfect sponged sunset behind the adorable, charming mouse and we also love the beautiful coloring job she did on the images. She created such a fantastic design!

We can't believe we only have two more DT announcements posts left before our challenge starts on Friday! Eeks! 2016 is inching by closer and closer! Design Team Member Introduction : Shannon McComb

Hello and welcome back to another Design Team Member Introduction Day! We are so excited to introduce our fourth designer to you today. Please join us as we welcome, Shannon McComb to our team.

"My name is Shannon McComb. I live in Ottawa, Canada with my husband. I've been paper crafting since I was a teenager, around 10 years now. I started off scrap-booking with just paper and scissors and then I discovered card-making by stumbling across technique videos on YouTube. I love all critter stamps and besides fun scene cards I would best describe my favorite style as clean and simple."

We love the causal and playful look from Shannon's Falls card. The out-of-line watercoloring technique looks so much fun and we are so glad she used this playful technique because we love the beautiful results from it.

Design Team Member Introduction: Lindsey Larsen

Hello! Today we are excited to be back to introduce our third designer. Please join us as we welcome, Lindsey Larsen to our team.

"Hi! My name is Lindsey. I am a mother of two darling children and a crafter in my spare time--usually at night when I should be sleeping! I've been creative in one way or another my whole life (thanks to my mom!), but the last few years I've fallen in love with card-making. I love being able to express gratitude, send a smile, or share a little piece of my heart in the form of a handmade card. I'm happiest when I create in a clean and simple style."

Lindsey not only created one entry card, but two darling Clean and Simple cards! We love the sweet and adorable owls on the first card and for her second card; we love that she created such a pretty design with beautiful subtle textures.
