I Love You

Hello Everyone! Tracie here with an inspirational post for challenge three of the Stamping Smiles Designs, Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. It is a joy to see so many fabulous entries for Challenge Three
I have a Valentine's Day card to share with you. I selected the top row: love, add shimmer and hearts.

Steps:
1. Make a top folding A2 card with Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock. Round bottom corners using We-R-Memory Keepers Corner Chomper Tool, 1/2".
2. Die-cut the striped heart from the Concord and 9th Layers of Love Die Set on a 4.25" x 5.5" panel. This will act as a stencil. It is helpful to die-cut in the location you want the heart on your card.
3. Place stencil on card and apply VersaMark. Proceed by applying Ranger, Gold Embossing Powder and melt with heat tool.
4. Create a small gold embossed heart. I used the My Favorite Things Heart Background Stencil. Adhere the small heart with a piece of foam tape.
5. Stamp Concord and 9th Layers of Love, I love you sentiment with Mama Elephant Apple Pigment Ink. Use the MISTI to get preferred placement and to make it easy if you need to double-stamp.

There are still a couple more days to enter. So, what are you waiting for? It is your turn to shine =)

Thank you and have a beautiful day!

Tracie

Challenge Guest Designer : Darnell Knauss

Hi friends and Happy Hump Day! We're here today with our 3rd Challenge Guest Designer, Darnell Knauss of djkardkreations. If you're not familiar with her, you should head to her blog now! She is the fun, amazing crafter and brilliant hostess of the NBUS Challenge (Never-Before-Used Schtuff) and we are so excited to have her here with us for this challenge!

_________________________________________________________________

My name is Darnell. My addiction began in 2002 after attending my first Stampin' Up! party. After ten years making cards for family and friends at a desk inside the disgusting unfinished garage, we had the backyard landscaped and I became the envied occupant of my crafty Playhouse. You are welcome to visit the Playhouse and see why I'm having the time of my life making cards. Through my blog, I enjoy sharing my cards, playing with words, and connecting with delightful people from all over the world who provide me with endless inspiration!

I've made two cards to inspire you!

For this first card, I made a card that I think is gender neutral. You wouldn’t have to make it the size of a business envelope, but guys might like the heft of it!

As you can see I used the awesome sketch for my design, but this card was also inspired by row one across on the tic-tac-toe board: love, shimmer, and hearts.

The shimmer is from the red foil paper from Stampin' Up. In fact, all the papers used for this card are from Stampin' Up. The word "Sending" is from Simon Says Stamp and the words "you" and "love" are from Winnie & Walter.

My second card is an always-fun interactive shaker card:

This time I used row three down for my design: hearts, confetti, and sketch. The diagonal hearts are Washi tape. The double-stitched rectangle frames were made with Lil' Inker dies. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

I hope my cards have inspired you to play along! I want to thank Ka for the honor of asking me to be the Guest Designer for this 3rd Challenge and I can't wait to see what you create!!

Isn't Darnell's cards amazing and so much fun? We love both cards, especially the fun interactive shaker! Shake! Shake! Shake! Thank you, Darnell for creating these sweet cards and providing us with some awesome Valentine’s inspiration! Make sure you stop by Darnell’s blog to give her some bloggie love too!

Enjoy the rest of your week and happy crafting!

Floral Happy Birthday

Hello!!
Shannon here with an inspirational post for the current challenge!
Hope your enjoying playing along with us!
I LOVE the current tic-tac-toe board, so much fun elements to choose from.
For my card I used the bottom row across, stitching, flowers and the fun sketch.

I wanted to stay as true as I could to the sketch while adding my other two elements.
I started with lavender card stock that I die cut twice using the Stitched Border 3 die from PPP and put the pieces back together, adhering on a card base to create my background. I stamped my flowers on a white piece of card stock, masking off my middle flower to have them over lapping each other. The flowers are from the Wild Peonies set from The Ton. I stamped my sentiments from Birthday Balloons set fro Simon Says Stamp and Yummy treats from Hero Arts. I put two small peices of grey card stock under my floral panel and took out my sewing machine and stitched the top and bottom, my stitching never comes out perfect but I like what it adds to the card:).
To finish off the card I added some Enchanted Garden sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I hope you will play along with Challenge # 3 with us! Can't wait to see what you create!!

Thank you much for stopping by!

Hope your day is lovely!

Shannon

Love You!

Hi there! Stephanie here and I'm back with some inspiration for challenge 3! I have to say, I am having a great time with these tic-tac-toe boards - it's so much fun connecting the elements and creating something from it!

Here is our current board - Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Three:

This is the "sketch" element. Each gray color represents a new layer! Love it!!

I went with two connecting trios this time! These are the elements I chose:
Love, Add shimmer, Hearts
and
Add shimmer, Paperclip, and flowers.

Here is the card I created...

For my love element I chose a Mama Elephant sentiment that simply says "love you". It fit perfectly inside my balloon stamp, too!

My heart element is from the stamp set. I decided to use this adorable stamp set called "Puppy Love". I thought the girl holding the heart shaped balloon was just so sweet!
I added crystal clear Sparkle Pen to the balloon, her side bow, and beret for the add shimmer element.

I also drew in stripes on the card base with a bronze-gold metallic pitt pen so that it would tie in with the paperclip I wanted to use. It also ties in with the gold embossing powder I used on the sentiment.

Lastly, for my flowers element I chose these adorable flower buttons I had recently bought. I drew in some stems using my Memento black marker.
I had so much fun creating my card!! The tic-tac-toe board has so many possibilities - I love it!!

I hope you like my card and that you found new inspiration from the board! Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Thursday to everyone!!
