Altenew Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends!

Today a lot of the challenge blogs came together with Altenew to bring you an ultimate challenge blog hop! Woo-hoo! How fun!! You should have arrived from Seize The Birthday Challenge Blog. To celebrate this fantastic blog hop, Altenew is giving away $35 gift certificates to FIVE lucky winners. Winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on any of the blogs listed below and will be announced on the Altenew blog on October 17th, 2016.

Here is a list of the Blog Hop participants in order:

Today I'm so excited to share a card I made using the Altenew Beautiful Day Stamp Set. This is such a beautiful set with gorgeous layering peony stamps. I love the sentiments and I will definitely be reaching for this set for all my floral projects. I combined this set with a patterned paper from Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic Collection. The patterned paper has tiny silver sparkles on the white diagonal stripes, which I think it is so beautiful in person!

I started off by creating a 5"x 7" card base and cutting the striped patterned paper down to size. I stamped the flowers and leaves in two different shades of colors. Since I don't have the coordinating dies, I fussy-cut the images, leaving a white border. I cut a piece of smooth white card stock and stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. I popped a couple of the flowers up with foam dimensional adhesives. As a finishing touch, I glued some clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.

This was such a fun card to make and I had so much fun using this set. I hope you were inspired today and be sure to check out some of Altenew's Floral Layering Stamps! They are so much fun to play and experiment with! Your next hop is the fun TIME OUT Challenges. I am sure they have an amazing project or two in store for you! :) Happy Hopping!

Challenge #17 Inspiration with Rachel

Hello! Rachel here today with some inspiration for our current challenge!

For my card, I chose the last column - sequins, thank you, and fall theme.

I cut a panel using a Cross-Stitch Rectangle die and then used my MISTI to stamp each of the layers for my trees in gorgeous fall colors. I prepared my card base by stamping the Wood Pallet Background stamp on top for some faux texture. I used foam tape to adhere my panel and then added a sprinkling of coordinating sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to simulate some falling leaves. It's a simple card, but I love the way it turned out!
