C is for CHALLENGE #22 Inspiration with Nora

Hello peeps!! Nora here with my last, official inspiration post here at Stamping Smiles Designs Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. I have had a lot of fun over this past year using the wonderful challenge badges to create some fun cards. I am going to miss being here every month.

Today is a really simple card I created using the Challenge #22 badge.

I used the top row across-bling, die-cut alphas and texture on my project.

I started off by using a plain, textured note card I had in my stash. Every once in a while I will buy a box of them to have on hand so I can make up some QUICK cards to have in my stash for various occasions. This one happens to have gold and ivory texture over the kraft background.

I then used some American Crafts "silver" glitter Washi tape over the front to add some bling. I used an old Cuttlebug die to die cut out the lacy white card stock square and adhered that over the Washi.

My last step was to die cut the C monogram out of gold glitter paper using the Paige alphabet dies by Quickutz (retired) and adhere this over the white square.

Since most monogrammed cards are given in multiples, a simple design is key. I will be making a set of these to give to someone special.

I hope this inspires you to come on over and join us for the last challenge here at Stamping Smiles Designs Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge board. I will miss you all.

Challenge #22 Inspiration with Varada

Hello friends, it's Varada here playing with the following grid:

I used Scene + Use Dimension + Texture (diagonal row) to make this card:

The stamps and dies in this card came from Hero Arts My Monthly Hero October card kit.
I stamped images for deer, Christmas tree, lamp post and Santa's sleigh. I die cut all of these along with a couple snowdrifts and background for snowglobe. I also die cut the base of the snowglobe using silver glitter paper.
Then I worked on the snowglobe background - I heat embossed the snow using white embossing powder, at the bottom I stamped the tree silhouettes and ink blended my sky using distress ink. I also splattered some tiny drops of water on the sky and used a paper towel to lift up the color.
For added texture, I used SSS stitched whirl background die for my panel. This one cuts the whole panel out (something I had forgotten... lol). I stamped my sentiment on it using Archival Black ink and my trusted MISTI.
Finally I assembled everything using some foam tape and some scor tape onto a black card base. I also added silver glitter tape on the side and trimmed down the card to make it same height at the swirly white panel. For finishing touch, I added a couple clear sequins and a couple clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.
Love how it turned out. Hope this inspires you to play along with us.
Hugs,
~Varada

Challenge #22 Inspiration with Channin

Hello everyone!! It's Channin here and today I'm sharing my final card for the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge blog! :(

I have really enjoyed my time on this challenge team and am so so grateful to Ka for giving me this opportunity! I will truly miss it!

I went right across the middle with "white on white", "use dimension", and "vellum". Now onto my card.

First, I cut 5 poinsettia bunches from Waffle Flower Crafts' Lacy Panel Die out of white cardstock. I then glued the poinsettias onto a sheet of vellum and then fussy cut them out. Next, I stamped and silver embossed a sentiment from the Waffle Flower's Peace on Earth stamp set on a sheet of vellum that was an inch larger than my card base.

I then splattered silver paint onto the vellum and onto the poinsettia bunches. Next, I folded the overhang of the vellum panel over and then adhered it onto my card base. Lastly, I adhered the poinsettia bunches in ring around the sentiment and added some silver sequins.

I hope enjoyed and were inspired to join us in our final challenge!

FINAL CHALLENGE: Challenge Twenty Two

Hello friends!

I hope this blog post finds you having a wonderful day. It is with a sad and heavy heart that I say we are closing the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge after this FINAL challenge. It was a very hard decision to make but one that Ka and I both know needed to be done. For those of you that don't know, Ka, the challenge creator was in a bad accident last November and since then she has been a whirl wind of craziness dealing with lawyers and insurances and coping with depression. As a Design Team Coordinator, I have tried my best to keep up with everything - the challenge, four wild kids, and a husband who travels for work, BUT I have been unsuccessful in doing so.

Ka and I both are so GRATEFUL to everyone who take part in making this challenge so successful. It takes a lot of energy to blog and we seriously couldn't have done it without the friends that helped get it started and the friends that are with us today.

Last but not least, THANK YOU to everyone that participated during each challenge. All of your creations were stunning and so inspirational. We loved looking at each of them and being mesmerized by how each of you interpreted the challenge and we cannot wait to see it again for one last time. You are all really talented!

So, for this final challenge, please use the challenge board below using three elements in a row of your choice. You can create in any way you like as long as we can see the elements in your design.

You are playing for one of the following 3"x 4" stamp sets. The winner will get to choose the stamp set of their choice. If you already have all three in your stash, why not play to give one of these sets as a gift for one of your crafty friend? You can click on the links below to read more about each stamp set.

And now for some over-the-top AMAZING inspiration from our INCREDIBLE design team members.

Nora used the first column down: Bling, White on White and Scene.

Rachel was inspired by the top row across: Bling, Die-Cut Alphas, and Texture.
